Best and worst countries you've contracted in?

I'll start. Best — Netherlands. Straightforward tax system for contractors, excellent infrastructure, clients who actually respect your time and expertise. Worst — won't name names but a certain Middle Eastern country where the goalposts moved every week and getting paid was a contact sport.

Where have you worked and would you go back?

Netherlands for me too — best I've worked in. Clients actually respect your time, the infrastructure is excellent and the food is better than people give it credit for. Currently eyeing up something in Scandinavia if anyone has experience up there.
