✓ What worked well
Competent project manager who communicated scope changes clearly and in advance. The team were welcoming to contractors from day one. Good canteen on site, reasonable parking. Flexible about Fridays once established in the contract.
✗ What didn't work well
Resource allocation was chaotic in the first month — equipment promised at the start wasn't available. Took three weeks to resolve. Agency had oversold the level of support on site.
ℹ Anything else
Decent Premier Inn about 10 minutes from site. Good public transport link if you don't want to drive.
